This reminds me of my favorite scene in the trailer for The Last of Us. As we find out in the trailer, Joel is in a pretty bad place. He’s trying to escape the world in his own mind, but in the world of reality, his escape only makes things worse, so he has to do what he does best: destroy everything.
The reason this trailer was written specifically in the first place was because there are so many similar themes and characters in the game. Each of the five characters in the game is from the same era, so the story that’s featured here is not because I’m a “modern” person, but because it’s a story that’s centered around the same characters.
