As an example, if you are at work and an organisation asks you for confidential information, you are probably not going to say no. You are more likely to say, “Oh, I’m on a deadline right now” or “I have to stop by my house for my car.” You are more likely to say no because you have too much work to do.

But sometimes, if you are not being asked to share information, you might be less inclined to say, “No, I have things to do, I have a meeting with my wife, I have to take a crap, and I need to finish this assignment.

This is just one of the many reasons why redundancy is a problem. It is an issue because it is a problem. For instance, when we talk about needing to be more proactive in our personal life, we are probably thinking about our children or other family members. But if we are talking about needing to be more proactive in our professional life, we are probably thinking about our clients or bosses.
