I was surprised that Sebi’s sonata was not a song but rather a piece of music, and that all the members of the group were the same age as me. I suspect the compositional process wasn’t quite as smooth as it could have been. I got the impression that the band had a lot of free time and not a lot of structure.

The band members have a lot of free time, the music is great, and the composers are good. Theyre all great for their jobs. It’s easy to let one or two of your bandmates run wild. If you want your compositions to sound like a band, you need to structure and focus them.
A lot of good music is just one long song. That’s how “I’ve Got a Feeling” works. Or “Lola” for that matter. I guess its just one of those things like, “Hey, I’m really good at this. Lets try this” type things.
The main thing is that the music is really good. The composers have great voices, the music is great. Its not all just fine. Its just a different kind of music. Its just a few songs. Its not a big deal for you.
If you do one song and the band plays it in the background, it becomes your favorite song. This is great. But it’s not for everyone. If you’re worried about the quality of your music, you can do something about it. Ive got a feeling you’re going to get that one. But we’ll do it in the next scene.
