This is one of the many products I have used to develop and improve my own design, but, as an adult-level designer and a marketer, I know that it is pretty boring because it doesn’t actually provide the kind of value that you’ll get by spending money building a beautiful, well-designed and very effective design.

I have a feeling that most designers have some degree of product-development-manager (PDM) mentality. For one, my job is to make sure that the product is what the customer wants. And I can do that, but I would never actually describe myself as a product-developer. I’m more of a team lead, or a director of product, or whatever it is that I do.

No, you just do the job that you are naturally suited to. Product-development-managers have a lot to learn to become effective, so they will be looking to see how design-development-managers can help them in their positions. And while I think most people will be interested in learning more about this, as a product-development-manager, I dont think it will be the most useful course of study.
