Interview drupal buytaert api javascriptanderson talks about how he built an online store in Drupal and how hes been using it to attract new customers for years to come.
The interview was made just before DrupalCon last week. The two of us talked about Drupal, how we manage to keep it going, and how it’s changed the way we work in general. We also had a quick Q&A session with the interviewee (drupal buytaert api javascriptanderson) and talked about his online store which features a lot of his own design work.

Drupal is a powerful content management system that has the power to not only create new websites, but to build them too. And Drupal can do this in an easy to use framework, but it’s more than that. You can create a website with just a few clicks and customize it to fit your needs. Drupal also has the ability to do just about anything you can dream up. If you want a blog for example, you can write one right from within Drupal and publish it to the web.
The question is, what do you want to do with Drupal? You need to have a Drupal site that you want to share with others.
So let me start by saying that I’ve never been a Drupal user in any way. So I’m a bit of an outsider. I’ve been using Drupal for a month or so now, and have been a little disappointed by the ease and convenience of the platform. The platform itself is excellent, but I can see why people would prefer a platform with a more traditional UI.
Drupal and other popular Drupal platforms use a lot of boilerplate code so there are a lot of things that don’t work as well on those platforms. For example, I’ve never had trouble getting the site to load, and I’ve had to manually add elements to it. This is great for people who like to put together a website with a lot of static content and little-to-no JavaScript.
The fact is that we have a lot of static content on our site, but some of our most popular pages are not coded with jQuery. They are coded with drupal but they have no jQuery. This is the way to go: write your CSS and jQuery code. In the case of the website, we have some basic functionality in our CSS for some of our pages, but a lot of the rest of the site is not coded with jQuery.
